Please join me for this special celebration of the Gutter Books republication of my novel “Love Stories Are Too Violent For Me,” currently in development as a film by Christian Slater, who will direct and star as the protagonist, Vic Valentine, Private Eye. This is the definitive edition of the book, which I wrote on a typewriter 20 years ago, was published by Wild Card Press in 1995, optioned for the film in 2001, and subsequently has been out of print for many years. Now it’s back and better than ever! I will be reading from and signing copies hot off the press from Portland. There will also be live music by legendary local band THE AQUA-VELVETS, performing their unique blend of surf/lounge/exotica music, “heard” in the book! Special thanks to my new editor/friend/writer JOE CLIFFORD for putting this together. Hope to see you ALL there, since this is the culmination of a long journey. SHARING THE BILL: author T FOX DUNHAM will be reading from his new novel “The Street Martyr,” also published by Gutter Books. Cheers, Will
